Maki & Ramen – St James

Ramen & Sushi in St. James Quarter

Located in the heart of St. James Quarter, Maki & Ramen brings our traditional Japanese recipes and meals to diners in Edinburgh for a true international experience. From visionary Chef Teddy Lee, who studied at the Sushi Academy in Tokyo, our brand of Asian cuisine served at the St. James location continues the tradition that started at our first location, which opened in 2015.

Menu Highlights for Ramen and Sushi

Our mission is to bring authentic and flavourful dishes from Asia to those who don’t have the chance to travel for them. From our detailed decor inside our restaurants to the hand-crafted bowls and sushi rolls we create in our kitchen, your entire experience is designed so you and your party feel you’ve been whisked away to another part of the globe. Bowls start with our homemade broth that goes through an eight-hour simmering process, and we combine it with noodles that perfectly blend bite and texture. Sushi options include traditional and experimental maki rolls and nigiri and sashimi plates. Start with small side plates, such as kimchi, edamame, or teriyaki chicken. Those looking for options other than noodle bowls or sushi will find several hearty dinner plates to choose from, and we have a selection of vegan options too.
